Creating Simple, Great Tasting Bars That Leave A Legacy

Taste of Nature is founded on my father’s basic idea and his philosophy of life: to work together as a family to create a food company that makes a simple, great tasting product that would give back to the world more than it took.

Our Taste of Nature bars are made from the highest quality organic ingredients, supplied through a network of family farms and businesses. Our bars are made in our facility in Markham, Ontario, Canada. Even though it is a fully accredited British Retail Consortium (BRC) and Good Manufacturing practices (GMP) facility with the most stringent international food standards, we use minimal processing to keep the product nutrient dense.

People have to enjoy the food they eat, so we work hard to make bars that taste delicious. To produce the freshest, most nutritious food possible, we produce the bars more frequently in smaller quantities, keep the inventory low, and get the product into stores quickly.

Foods that are grown organically are better for us, for the farmers, and for the plants, animals and environment as a whole. It is widely recognized that organic foods are higher in nutrient content. Our bars are a source of energy, fibre, protein, essential fatty acids, omega 3 fatty acids, and vitamins, minerals and trace elements that occur naturally in organic foods.

We know that it’s possible to provide healthy food while leaving a zero-carbon foot print, and we work every day to make that a reality. We use green business practices in our manufacturing, packaging and shipping. We currently source Bullfrog green power for processing our products. We recycle food waste to farms for use as animal feed. Everything is done with the environment in mind. It is our modest but meaningful contribution to building a better and healthier future for everyone.

Taste of Nature gives back too. We donate our bars to the Salvation Army and Second Harvest, and participate in events that promote environmental and ecological awareness. We just started an initiative with Trees Canada to plant trees in wilderness areas and edible trees in urban areas. By giving back we are adding to our community in ways that numbers can’t measure.

Taste of Nature combines the need to feed people real food with the need to preserve nature. The more we give away, the more we will receive. Taste of Nature is more about why we are making this food than the food itself.
