Vegans need no explanation of the incredible health, social and environmental benefits of consuming animal free and dairy free products. Taste of Nature bars are not only free of animal ingredients and dairy free, they are produced in a dairy free plant. Usually, to produce vegan foods, the food in question must be free of animal products. Animal and/or dairy products can be manufactured in the same plant as long as they don't find their way into the animal–free product in question. But at taste of Nature, we go beyond. We don't allow the manufacturing of ANY product with animal ingredients in them. That means that no animal products are even allowed to enter the plant!
What is the Certified Vegan logo?
The vegan logo is a registered trademark, similar in nature to the "kosher" mark, for products that do not contain animal products and that have not been tested on animals. The logo is easily visible to consumers interested in vegan products and helps vegans to shop without constantly consulting ingredient lists; it helps companies recognize a growing vegan market; and it helps bring the word "vegan"—and the lifestyle it represents – into the mainstream. The logo is administered by The Vegan Awareness Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public about veganism and to assist vegan–friendly businesses.
